“SmartAgronomers” – our IOT based smart Irrigation project is the first prize winner under the working model category in the 9th NES Science festival conceptualized by our founder principal Dr.R.Varadarajan and Head of School Ms.Primrose Ma’am.
For 2 weeks before the event, we were learning how to build an IoT / robot. I don’t even recall the exact count of LEDs that we shorted out but I do remember the messy modification of sample code we had found. As the Grade 6 students, we had realised that we needed adult supervisions when soldering and the reaction on our parents’ faces were funny when we were trying to still build it.
Following is the script we prepared for our presentation / demonstration to judges when they visited our stall.
After the event, we got to attend a session by School on how to protect our Intellectual Property via patents. The school counselor mentioned that the School will soon arrange for us to meet the patents attorney and will provide STEM labs for us to discuss our ideas with them.
